From steaming ramen and crispy takoyaki to comforting miso soup, every dish in Umami is crafted to deliver that irresistible savory flavor that keeps the crowds coming back for more.

In Umami, players compete to create the most delicious three ingredient dishes possible. Build clever combinations, satisfy picky customers, and if you spot the perfect ingredient on a rival’s plate, don’t be afraid to swipe it for yourself!

Each player begins with four ingredient cards in hand, while a shared market offers more ingredients to choose from. Every ingredient features a value from 1 to 9 along with a special icon: stars for points, steals for sneaky plays, or blossoms for tie breakers. Players also compete for customer favorites, each with unique tastes and preferred ingredient combinations.

On your turn, add ingredients from your hand and the market to craft up to five dishes, swapping ingredients as you refine your recipes. Steal icon cards let you snatch ingredients from opponents, while claiming a customer favorite can protect your dish from theft unless another player creates an even more satisfying meal.

Once all favorites are claimed or a player completes their table, secret customer favorites are revealed and the final round begins. Add up the stars earned from your ingredients and favorites, and the chef with the most points wins the night!
